Program note:

Raymond Carver starts his poem Late Fragment asking "Did you get what you want from this life?". The same question starts the text sung in this piece. Nonetheless, the answer for it is very different. The instruments rarely play in a traditional manner, increasing the emotional content of the text. The piece was written for Ensemble Ateliê C.
