... à deriva was conceived as a work directly connected to Stuck. While Stuck was developed over the course of two and a half years, ... à deriva emerged in approximately one month through a continuous and fluid compositional process. The two works can be performed independently, but they may also be presented in succession, forming a single musical organism. Within this trajectory, ... à deriva functions as a transitional passage: a constantly transforming sonic space that can naturally flow into Stuck.
